Kerala Backwaters (The Glory of Nature)


Kerala is known as the God own country located at southern part of India and lying parallel to the Arabian Sea coast. It is only tropical paradise in India. It is endowed with refreshing hill stations, beaches, Wildlife parks and on the top the beautiful backwater which makes this place a divine state. The Kerala backwater includes five large lakes which are both manmade and natural.

The Kerala backwaters are eco-friendly and have different eco-system, freshwater from the river meet the seawater in Arabian Sea. Some of the famous backwaters are Kumarakom backwater, Periyar backwater, Kasargod backwater, Kuttanadand backwater and Cochin backwater .

Kumarakom Backwater: It is bliss on earth. It is located on the picturesque Vembanand Lake which consists of cluster of islands. The Palm-fringed and sceneric backwaters are the major tourist attractions of this place.

Periyar Backwater: It is witness the scenic natural beauty and situated on the high range on the Western Ghats. Periyar wildlife national park is situated near the Periyar backwater which is best wildlife sanctuary in India. The scenic backwaters along with the wildlife park fascinate the tourist.

Kasargod Backwater: Kasargod is a town with beautiful lush green passage situated in north kerala. The backwater offers two cruise known as Chandragiri and Valiyaparamba. The sunset on Chandragiri is a pleasant to the eye or mind.

Kuttanadand Backwater: It is a green landscape and also known as Rice Bowl of kerala. It is a popular place for farming where farming is done below sea water. It is the ideal cruise destination in kerala.

Cochin Backwater: Cochin backwater is known as Queen of Arabian Sea which attrack thousand of tourist every year. Cochin is called the kerala Industrial and commercial capital. Houseboats are very popular in cochin and are major tourist attraction. Cochin backwater is the best example of natural harbor in the world.

Kerala is interesting and best destination place for holidays which offer a complete package for vacationers where fun and romantic moments never come to an end.It is the prominent attraction place in south india. That is why it is visited by thousands of people across the globe.
